1960년 서울 출생. 홍익대 시각디자인학과 졸업. 런던 Camberwell College of Art에서 북아트 전공. 런던 테이트 갤러리에 『지금쯤』(By this time)을 비롯한 책 다섯 권이 소장되어 있다. 현재 숙명여대 대학원, 한양대, 서울여대 출강. 『옛날 사람들은 어떻게 살았을까』(창작과비평사 1997) 『옥이야 진메야』 『꼬까신』 등에 그림을 그렸고, 아트북 『뒤뜰에 장미가 피었습니다』『지금쯤』이 있다.

 

Born in Seoul in 1960, Choi Young-ju studied visual communication design (BFA) at Hongik University and book arts (MFA) at the Camberwell College of Arts in London, United Kingdom. The Tate Gallery houses five of her works including this volume. Currently, she teaches at various universities in Seoul and illustrates children’s books.
