1954년 경남 출생. 서울대 영문과와 동대학원 졸업. 현재 한신대 영문과 교수. 주요 논문으로 「셰익스피어 말기극에 나타난 정치의식『리어왕』의 역사성과 민중성」, 역서로 『문화사회학』(공역) 등이 있음.
Born in 1954 in South Gyeongsang Province, Sol Chun-gyu studied English literature (BA, MA, and Ph D) at Seoul National University. Currently a professor at Hanshin University, he has authored "Political Consciousness in Shakespeare's Late Plays" and "The Historicity and Popular Orientation of King Lear" and co-translated Cultural Sociology.
